year 3

Reflections on year 3 of teaching:

+how did teachers ever get by before pinterest?
+we rotated classrooms this year and teaching in a room with windows made me feel so happy
+that they grow so much as writers when they write every day
+how much they love science
+hear them out, get down on their level and listen
+pick 2 students each day to focus positively on and praise them
+helpfulness of anecdotal notes
+thoroughness of directions
+being playful counts
+implementing the Common Core (new set of educational standards) was an adjustment, but successful
+thoroughness and repetitiveness
+enjoy what you do and smile! encourage students to do the same!

Love your idea to focus positively on one or two students a day. Also, remembering to enjoy work and smile and play- it is so important! Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
