^another spark of genius when I had a bag of airheads and decided to have them eat their airhead without talking and tape their wrapper on a paper. They wrote adjectives as they ate slowly and thoughtfully :)

^they shared in groups of same airhead colors
photo 2
^they wrote 2 sentences about their airhead using adjectives (look how naaaasty their name tags are. at this point in the year I am not going to replace them. so ya, it looks trashy)

^my friend Wes came in to visit my class and teach them about bears, particularly polar bears. He came last year and the kids absolutely loved it. He studies bears and has spent time in Alaska doing research. Wes is really good with the students and brings in a polar bear skull, ear, tooth, claw, and heavy winter coat. SO NEAT! They loved it. Perfect timing since we've been learning about living things and parts of animals that help them survive.

Egan and I met Kenyon, Teague, Jackson, and Gavin at Airborne for a little mid General Conference jump sesh. I'd never been to a jumping place before and turns out...it's kinda hard. Like, Egan and I were dying at how unathletic we felt. Try running on a tramp, you'll instantly know what a slug feels like. We loved jumping with the boys and trying to do toe touches and as many different moves in the air as we could think of. It was a blast.
The question is...can I become a better trampolinist?

Spring at the Market

3/29/13
Seattle, WA
Pike Place Market

We met my dad for lunch at the golf club near his work. I love my dad. I don't get to hang out with him as much as my mom cause he's a working man and also a tax man.
Since we were already downtown and the day was so beautiful, going to the market was a no-brainer. The daffodils were out and the place was packed. My mom picked up produce for Easter dinner and we shared a half dozen assorted mini donuts. Pretty perfect.
I didn't have my nice camera, so the iphone would have to do.

That night we met my dad in the U District to eat dinner at Chipotle. Then we headed over to a Mormon stake center that was doing a Good Friday event. They had a local Methodist church come and sing. Very very cool. Great voices.

Day Trip to Deception Pass

3/28/13

It's one of our favorite spots to take tourists and I've been tons with my family and guests over the years. My mom and I drove the hour over to the pass and it couldn't have been a prettier day. We walked around exploring trails and snapping lots of pictures. The water color! the green! The height of the bridge! We love it there.
My mom and I walked around on the beach for awhile and turns out she loves wet rocks and I love dry rocks. Did you know you could have an opinion on such a thing? Cause we do!
Also, a huge part of my childhood memory is all the camping and day trips and beaches like this, where we climbed on logs and played with rocks and built log forts. It's so nostalgic. Take me back to childhood.

After, we stopped in La Conner to eat lunch and immediately spotted a Thai restaurant. It was so good and fresh.

St. Edwards State Park

It's one of my favorite places to stroll and explore when I go home--- St. Edward's State Park
There are lots of trails, TONS of trees, plenty of moss, and Lake Washington right there.
