"Nights Impossible Burden"

Picture 2
I came across this piece while I was browsing this morning and I thought about it the rest of the day. I love it for the obvious reasons, but loved thinking about how much weight we carry sometimes. How good it feels when we lighten our load. Anyways, some Sunday thought for you.

My mom posted this video about her favorite artist Brian Kershisnik (artist of the piece above) on facebook and I so loved it.  How sweet is their relationship?!

Thank you so much for this!! I've always thought Kershisnik painted with such depth of soul, and this video just reconfirmed that. The pictures he does of couples measuring each other gets me every time. Also, I want to be friends with your mom.

Jane, I just saw this. Seriously interesting timing, since I wrote the poem about Benson carrying a weight--and here is a great, visual example of the weight we carry--the weight of stars!!! So cool to think about. Thank you Jane, thank you Brian. One day I want to buy one of his pieces....dream on under the stars.

That picture is so inspiring! Almost brings a tear to my eye thinking about those times in my life when I've felt like that. AH, Jane. You're the best!
