Apples and Orange

My mom teaches a cooking class for the Relief Society. It's a slam dunk for the ladies.
The theme was "Apples and Orange" (Full of Apple recipes and many in Orange color)

On the menu:

Butternut Squash and Apple Soup

Sweet Potato and Black Beans Burrito
(excellent and apparently factors out to $1.29 a burrito)

Glazed Butternut Squash

Apple Pie

Little Mini Pies the ladies made to take home

Others that were on the menu (but not necessarily made):

Indian Inspired Butternut Squash

Brown Basmati Rice with Butternut Squash

Apricot Chicken

Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet Potato Biscuits

Apple Custard Tart

Apple Bundt Cake

Apple Crisp for Two

email me if you're interested in any of these recipes.

(then I'll email my mom. )

I think I'll fix the Indian-inspired butternut squash. I've still got some of it cubed and ready to go.

Your mom is so pretty and talented and wonderful. I'm a lucky girl to be the only daughter that wasn't born into the family. Who knows what other kind of freaky/boring family I could've married into!
