Hey Hey Hey Rich Man...whatchu talkin about?!
What: Ghostland Observatory
Where: SLC, Utah at The Venue
When: Last night (Thursday)
It just happened! The best show everrrrr. We loaded up a car of friends drove, down to SLC and saw Ghostland Observatory. I had seen them in Rexburg two summers ago and was love struck. We decided to make the road trip to see them and it was worth every penny of that $15.50 plus tax! Aaron and Thomas of Ghostland know how to get people moving. They made a shout out to all the Rexburg people! I screamed like a little school girl. They really love their fan base of Rexburg, ID. I danced like no one was watching and my favorite part of the night was seeing Kristine and my friends Maggie and Willard get on stage to dance. I've never been prouder. I'll be smiling for awhile now thinking of the delicousness of those braids, beats, and dance moves brought to you by Ghostland Observatory.

quite possibly the best weekend ever
So it went a little something like this... Sunny Saturday morning we round up the friends and hopped on our bikes to get a little Great Harvest breakfast. We then head over to Broulims (local grocery store) for some party they are having. We get a free ice cream cone and enter ourselves into the radio stations 94.3 second shopping spree. There were about 8 of us friends that were there. We waited around till 11 to hear if any of our names were called from the shopping spree drawing. The grocery store was packed as the announcer came on and the first name they read was our friend Justin. We were screaming and jumping SOOOO Excited. It was too good to be true. He raced around the store and grabbed all the goods he could get his hands on while we cheered him on isle to isle. His grand total was over $200. I thought that was great...but then they had one more chance for a winner to do the same spree. And they called our friend Logan!!!! It was insane. We were freaking out and needless to say we were a sight to behold. A bunch of crazy college kids that took the house. Logan filled a shopping cart full and totaled to $176. It was a feast. To top it off our friend Jonathan won one of the door prizes. I wish you could have seen it!
That afternoon we took pleasure in the first beautiful weekend we've had and did a Slip-n-slide showdown. We made our slip-n-slide out of paint drop clothes, covered it with soap and shaving cream and slid away. With the winnings of the earlier shopping spree we were able to have a great BBQ.
At night my parents made a stop in Rexburg on their way to Utah. We got some Thai food with my friends and I had a good time showing them my house and my friends. It was so great to see them.

Happy Birthday Lindsey!
Summer O'ate
On a cold, snowy Monday morning, Summer slipped into a deep dark sleep and would never wake up again. She was a sweet Goldfish that was purchased by a roommate who had intentions of killing her for a project in her communications class. After convincing her that animals should not be harmed/killed for school projects we stole the fish and gave it to our friend Willard for his birthday. Summer O'ate, was a good goldfish. She may have been deprived of fish food, but instead was treated to Organic Chedder Bunnies. Though the cause of death is unknown, it is certainly not from lack of love from her owner, Willard Cron. He loved her and cared for her. The funeral services were held late Monday night. Last words were spoken, memories said, and harmonica played. R.I.P.

You Make My Heart Sing!
One Team One Dream
On Friday we took spontaneous to new heights when we heard from our friend that he had some tickets to the Jazz Lakers Playoff game. With no set Friday night plans we got some friends together and took off to Salt Lake City right after classes. The game was out of CONTROL! Fans were crazy, the place was packed and we got free t-shirts too. And they WON! The Jazz had a great game. (Thanks PEAS!!!!!)

Naut-youraverageparty-cal
Our Nautical party was an A++ Success! People actually came dressed up despite the skepticism of our theme. I think I'm in love with sailor attire. Thanks to DJ Case for letting us use his huge speaker. Nothing worse then hearing yourself dance, so we were grateful to have loud, clear music. We had fish cupcakes, fake tatoos, shark fruit snacks, and gold fish and dance beats that would blow your mind.
