it's getting late and the moon is rising high

I mowed the lawn tonight and I couldn't resist a self portrait on the freshly cut.
Mowing the lawn is so rewarding and grass, well...it's just greener in Seattle. Truth.

My Mom and I went out for vegetarian last night. We were disappointed when the vegan pizza place we wanted to go to was closed. But, fate led us to Araya's in the University district. Oh ma ma my! It was good. We had Veggie Satay skewers and Pineapple Curry and some other great curry. I think the brown rice was the best I've had. Mark it. This is a must go.

Real yum greek butter bean and tomatoes with pita and greek salad.

Picked produce for dinner.

Flowers, cause duh---doesn't this Mom of mine deserve a bouquet?

Made granola with my Mom.

afternoon sunlight

I helped Teen by taking some pictures of her newest quilt. She busts these things out, it's really inspiring. It's real sad she's moving. We took a twin pic cause I couldn't handle the setting sunlight and our green grass and our cherry blossoms.

RED ROVER, RED ROVER

SEND EGAN RIGHT OVER!

my sister Egan is stuck in Paris, France due to all that ash/debri/volcanic dust. Hope she gets a flight home soon. But I kinda, sorta don't feel too bad for her. In her own words: "I have been shopping, museum-ing, running, observing, drawing, thinking, walking, eating, working, trying to figure out how to get on a flight" Too bad she's alone, but not too bad to be in France.

light as a feather

Paste Magazine has just created a list of The 80 Best Workout Songs. The timing is excellent as I am suffering majorly from my old shuffle routine. I'm in a music drought with not enough time in the day to search, listen, and buy, and the only time I get to listen to music is during my run at the gym. So thanks Paste. It's a great list and I'm looking forward to creating this playlist on my ipod. The commentary along with the list is exxxxxcellent too.

hubba hubble

On Friday night we saw Hubble 3D at the IMAX. I saw it advertised on TV and I got so nostalgic for Seattle and going to IMAX's with my family. Oh man, the universe is so amazing. The colors of the stars, the magnitude of nebulae, it's all so mysterious and amazing. It was a short feature, and really left me wanting more. GO see it.
