lost in the clouds

One stormy summer day I decided to make a Rainbow cake. This is how it went.

Ta-da.

I told my sisters I wanted to make this cake for the kids, and they took the theme and ran with it. They tied in Noah's Ark, the kids wore each a shirt the color of the rainbow, we did art crafts like origami, shrinky dinks, painted letters, and watched the Wizard of Oz. It was the perfect way to spend a stormy summer day. To top it off a rainbow appeared in time for cutting dessert. A double rainbow. Double rainbow all the way.

grow old with me

let's grow old together and meet up for an annual dinner in Millcreek Canyon. We'll have bottled waters, party hats, a potluck, and then we'll sing songs (how much is that doggy in the window, happy birthday, you are my sunshine, i've been working on the railroad) and then carpool back down the canyon.

this was eye witnessed as my family had a neighboring cook out a few days a go.

i'm watching 9 of my nieces and nephews tonight.
