We floated the Weber River which was one of those adventures that I'm so glad I went on. We piled in cars, grabbed some gas station snacks, and cruised up to Weber. The river was so great cause it was a little bit dangerous, long, but not too long. not too deep and not too shallow, and we made it out injury free.

That night we hosted friends for grilled pizza. We used Trader Joe's pizza dough and got all the pizza fixings for people to build their own. I was very surprised how many people had never had grilled pizza before. They were delicious.

After pizza we went to a drive-in and saw The Purge which was scary and stupid, so the perfect drive in movie!
Thus concludes the PERFECT summer Saturday!

Sunday Hike

After dinner on Sunday Egan and I took a little hike up by her house. It's warming up in Utah, but it was still pretty cold in the canyon. I love Utah, you can take a hike/walk in the mountains so easy cause they are your backyard.

hike date

A month or more ago a guy got my number at a church dance (ya...i'm 27, i know) and he set up a double date a few weeks later with his roommate and I brought Mags. We found a hike by Wasatch that was really great. Steep climbing and if you took a minute to turn 180 degrees you looked back at a beautiful sky and valley. Hikes are great dates cause you can talk and you cannot talk, you get to be outside, and you're getting a nice workout. We had to tell the boys it was time to turn around even though they were determined to get to this waterfall because we were gonna catch nightfall and we didn't have any light. Girls know best. Also, I was frozen to the bone. By the time we got back to the car there was 1/2" thick ice packed around inside my boots. My feet were purple when I got home and took the rest of the night to get back to normal. Burr people, burr.

A few Saturdays ago I finally made it to Antelope Island. I can't believe it took me 5 years of living here to finally do it. It's a great Salt Lake City adventure spot. Plenty of animals to see and 360 degrees of beautiful land. I gotta come back in the summer.

sister snow hike

We took a snow hike in Park City where Egan likes to mountain bike in the summer. It was a great trail and the skies were blue. So refreshing. Our ankles were frozen to the bone by the time we were done.

We had a gap of time between things we were doing one day so we were like "adventurrrrrrre time!" Which meant we grabbed a cookie and drink from Harmon's and got in the car and drove west. We veered off towards the Saltair and couldn't resist some pictures of the freeze over everything. So cold---like me wearing 2 snow hats and Teen couldn't stop jumping and dashing. burr
