Story time:
Yesterday I got an email regarding Student Teaching placements for the fall. I eagerly opened the list to scroll down to my name and see where I would be teaching. When I got to my name I was disappointed to find that there was nothing. Every other person on the list had the information except mine. I quickly replied saying there must have been some mistake. Today I got a response and it said that there is a hold on my account so they can't go forward with registering me for student teaching in the fall. I realized the hold was because of a student health insurance that I somehow forgot to submit a waiver for at the beginning of the semester. The charge was for $208. I called the office, explained the situation, and asked if they could take the fee off. The lady in the office explained that I was supposed to submit a waiver back in April and that now it was too late, so I would have to pay the $104 for the first half of the semester and I could submit a waiver for the second half. Very disappointed in myself I rode my bike up to campus to take care of the situation. I debated whether to make a big fuss about it and see if they could take the $104 off since it was an honest mistake. But it isn't in my nature. I got to the office and met with the lady from the phone convo. She handed me the paperwork and as I started filling the paperwork out she asked me questions. I expressed how it was too bad I made the mistake because I've been at the school since 03 and have waived student insurance every semester. She asked me how I have liked it at BYUI and we had small talk about the sunny skies, she asked me if I was getting married soon, and so on. In the mean time I started calling my sister and my mom to have them give me the insurance information. Both didn't answer. In my last phone call the lady turned around to her computer and with a click of a button she said "I'm really not supposed to do this, but I feel impressed to clear this for you." I was amazed. She started to cry and tell me how she felt a wonderful spirit about me, was grateful to have met me, that I would make a postive impact as a teacher. I was so touched. I did my best to express just how appreciative I was and I don't know if I could use the right words. She was so kind and I rode back home all smiles. I share this story because it was a lesson to me of how throwing fits of anger or tear of madness don't always get you what you want. I honestly felt at peace with just forking out the $104 because it was truly my mistake. This sweet experience reminded me in a simple way that God loves me. He looks out for me in the most minuscule situations.

I was traveling Europe with BYU-Idaho's Humanities Tour. We hit England, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Spain! It was one of the best experiences of my life. I can't believe it's been a year. I am itching to go back. Here are some fan favorites. (as in me...I'm the fan)
The girlfriends in Florence, Italy! We ate gelato here and met cute boys.
Da Louvre! Tired feet.
Many a time we crammed into the subway systems and had to quickly adapt to the cities transportation system.
Loved the mosaics. So much symbolisim.
Austria. We saw an Opera in this beautiful building.
England. Our first stop.
She is a beauty. Winged Victory.
I loved Trier, Germany. It was a quick stop but it was the most adorable little cobblestone town.
Paris.

Hey Hey Hey Rich Man...whatchu talkin about?!
Where: SLC, Utah at The Venue
When: Last night (Thursday)
It just happened! The best show everrrrr. We loaded up a car of friends drove, down to SLC and saw Ghostland Observatory. I had seen them in Rexburg two summers ago and was love struck. We decided to make the road trip to see them and it was worth every penny of that $15.50 plus tax! Aaron and Thomas of Ghostland know how to get people moving. They made a shout out to all the Rexburg people! I screamed like a little school girl. They really love their fan base of Rexburg, ID. I danced like no one was watching and my favorite part of the night was seeing Kristine and my friends Maggie and Willard get on stage to dance. I've never been prouder. I'll be smiling for awhile now thinking of the delicousness of those braids, beats, and dance moves brought to you by Ghostland Observatory.

quite possibly the best weekend ever

So it went a little something like this... Sunny Saturday morning we round up the friends and hopped on our bikes to get a little Great Harvest breakfast. We then head over to Broulims (local grocery store) for some party they are having. We get a free ice cream cone and enter ourselves into the radio stations 94.3 second shopping spree. There were about 8 of us friends that were there. We waited around till 11 to hear if any of our names were called from the shopping spree drawing. The grocery store was packed as the announcer came on and the first name they read was our friend Justin. We were screaming and jumping SOOOO Excited. It was too good to be true. He raced around the store and grabbed all the goods he could get his hands on while we cheered him on isle to isle. His grand total was over $200. I thought that was great...but then they had one more chance for a winner to do the same spree. And they called our friend Logan!!!! It was insane. We were freaking out and needless to say we were a sight to behold. A bunch of crazy college kids that took the house. Logan filled a shopping cart full and totaled to $176. It was a feast. To top it off our friend Jonathan won one of the door prizes. I wish you could have seen it!
That afternoon we took pleasure in the first beautiful weekend we've had and did a Slip-n-slide showdown. We made our slip-n-slide out of paint drop clothes, covered it with soap and shaving cream and slid away. With the winnings of the earlier shopping spree we were able to have a great BBQ.
At night my parents made a stop in Rexburg on their way to Utah. We got some Thai food with my friends and I had a good time showing them my house and my friends. It was so great to see them.

Happy Birthday Lindsey!
Summer O'ate

On a cold, snowy Monday morning, Summer slipped into a deep dark sleep and would never wake up again. She was a sweet Goldfish that was purchased by a roommate who had intentions of killing her for a project in her communications class. After convincing her that animals should not be harmed/killed for school projects we stole the fish and gave it to our friend Willard for his birthday. Summer O'ate, was a good goldfish. She may have been deprived of fish food, but instead was treated to Organic Chedder Bunnies. Though the cause of death is unknown, it is certainly not from lack of love from her owner, Willard Cron. He loved her and cared for her. The funeral services were held late Monday night. Last words were spoken, memories said, and harmonica played. R.I.P.
