My talented, womb-sharer of a twin is teaching sewing classes this Saturday. All ages. Check her flyer. Check her blog. Check yourself. Riot. She's so dope on the machine and can teach you what you'd like to know about sewing.

well isn't that special

had to make these immediately from sprouted kitchen
dark chocolate!

I used millet cereal and substituted walnuts in for pecans. winner all around. I couldn't believe that it called for the sprinkling of salt on the cookie but it was the right thing to do.

taco and nacho

Taco and Nacho,
my blog readers,

Blog readers,
Taco and Nacho.

Aren't they the cutest? They are the newest additions to the Bourne family.
Shauna kills me when she talks about their prehistoric legs and her obsession with terrariums.

lucky me

My sister Jen and I wanted to try and make fortune cookies. I was surprised to see a variety of recipes out there. We settled with one over at alpha mom. But I'd like to try inchmark and
our best bites to compare. The ingredients are simple and the mixing is quick. The tedious part is the baking. Only baking 2 or 4 cookies at a time for 4 minutes each, then quickly assembling is best done as a 2 person activity and with nothing else to distract you. We both agreed that we loved the taste of this recipe.

field trip

Natural History Museum, Salt Lake City, UT

Uh ohhh. What came first? The chicken or the egg, Jay-Z?

dast good chalkulat

The Selby recently did a photo journal of the Mast Brothers and their chocolate. I have scrolled through the pictures a half-dozen times (like I do with most of Selby's work) and I have loved looking at the details of this coooool factory. Who's up for a trip to NY? I have to visit this place next time i'm there. Not only is their packaging nothing short of perfection, the detail and dedication to the art of chocolate is amazing.

all images by The Selby (and I have already pre-ordered his happy-giddy for it)

hair flip

check out my happy list over at livi's fantastic blog.
i've much to be happy about and it should just be mandatory to make happy lists once a month.
(esp. in these dreary weary winter days)
Thanks Livi!

see happiness #6: I tried Vegan cookies today. They are called Super Charge Me Cookies. No eggs! whaaat?! That maple syrup / pb / vanilla combo really is the trick. I liked the results of the spelt flour / oats / and flax meal too. Tops cookie.

If you give a girl a cookie...she'll probably ask for a glass of milk....Almond milk people. I'm telling you---it's the future.

Our longest and truest friend Greg turned 29 yesterday.
We threw him a little dino party to celebrate.
It felt good being with my Rexburg blood for a night.

Q and I

we're just eating graham crackers and watching the today show this morning.
